reality is a lovely place but I wouldn't want to live there

Since I'm new to blogging, I thought I'd share 5 facts about myself so you can 'get to know me' better.

I'm really scared of heights. In fact that's an understatement, I'm terrified of heights. I have nightmares about being in high-up places and I get really panicky/scared even looking at a photo of the view from a tall building or something. In 2011 I went to Paris with school which was amazing, but I had to go up the Eiffel Tower. I was shaking and crying the whole time (so embarrassing) and I had to hold on to something at all times, even though there was no way I could fall out (It was 100% worth being scared though, it really is amazing up there!). In fact, our school has recently been rebuilt and on the upstairs bit, there are a lot of glass railings. Every time I have to go upstairs (which is everyday) I get really scared. My friends find this hilarious and try to push me near the end. Wow, I am so pathetic hahaha.

I am obsessed with anything Disney. Seriously, ask anyone who knows me in real life and they'll agree with me. Most people grow out of the Disney phase at eight years old but not me. I am always singing the songs (my favourite ones to sing are Pocahontas, it really annoys people ;) ) and watching the movies. Omg how can anyone not love Disney?

I'm a vegetarian and have been for about 7 years now.

I can fall asleep anywhere at any time. This is another thing my friends make fun of me for. When we went to Paris I slept pretty much all the way through the trip (which annoyed everyone.. sorry if you're reading and you had to wake me up at some point..).

My favourite colour is yellow.. That's an interesting fact isn't it? Who doesn't want to know my favourite colour?

I hope you don't think I'm weird after this, although you probably do..
Tell me a fact about you in the comments so I can get to know you better? I really want to make some 'blogging friends' (that's not weird at all is it laura? wow)

April Favourites!

Hello everyone!!
April is now drawing to a close, can you believe how fast this year is going?
I decided to do my first ever favourites post, so I apologise if it's not very good.
Also, I'm sorry about how bad my photos are, I'm currently in the process of redecorating my room so everything is just all over the place (did that even make sense?) and I'm still getting started with blogging. Hopefully I'll improve with time.

Body products.

  • Soap and glory- The Righteous Body Butter
I suffer from really dry skin, and most body lotions I use have to be medical and don't smell too great. I was given this product as a birthday present and recently I've been using it a lot! It smells beautiful and it is incredibly moisturising. I will definitely repurchase this.

  • L'Occitane magical leaves exfoliating shower gel
This is another product I was given for my birthday and I'm absolutely loving it. At first I was worried that because it is so small, it would run out quickly but that isn't an issue at all. A little bit of this goes a long way, and it's very moisturising! It smells really clean and fresh which I love.

Face products.

  • St Ives Apricot scrub for sensitive skin
One of my friends loves St Ives and is always recommending it to me, but I never tried it because I didn't think it could be as good as she made it out to be. Recently my skin has been really bad and I was looking for a new product to help.  I'm so glad that I chose this because it helped to improve my skin a lot, and I am still using it daily. It smells great and lasts a long time, as well as being for dry/sensitive skin (most exfoliators are for oily skin which is really annoying haha). I will definitely repurchase this the second it runs out.

  • The body shop vitamin E face mist
If I haven't already made this clear, I have dry skin. This means makeup sticks to the dry patches and looks disgusting, but since using this product I haven't had that problem. You spray it on your face over makeup, and it helps to set it so it lasts longer and looks less cakey. If you also have dry skin, I highly recommend the body shop vitamin E line, it's amazing.

  • Nivea Essential care lip balm
I may have to do a full post about this lip balm, because it is amazing. It's very moisturising and looks great over lipstick! This is honestly my favourite beauty product ever and it has saved me over and over again.

Hair products

  • Aussie Take The Heat leave in spray for heat damaged hair
If you've ever tried aussie products before, you'll know that they smell absolutely beautiful. I am one of the few people who don't find Aussie amazing, but this product changed my mind. My hair has seemed softer and less dry (did that make sense?) I apply it when my hair is wet, and when it drys it feels incredibly soft and smooth.

  • Benefit They're Real mascara and Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara
I got these mascaras for Christmas but recently I've realised how good they actually are. I hope they never run out because they are expensive. But, I think that 'They're Real' is completely worth the money, so I may have to repurchase..

I am so sorry that the quality of this blog isn't very good, but I am trying!
If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated!

do you think about me now and then?

hello there! (if anyone's reading)
I haven't been blogging much at all which is stupid if I want to gain followers, I'll start posting more frequently from now on anyway.
I would love to say the lack of posts is due to the fact I've been on a holiday to Paris or something, but unfortunately I've been in England watching too many episodes of extreme couponers and Disney movies. I really have no life.
And if anyone was curious, I finished my film studies coursework and I am now waiting on my results. Speaking of results, I did my huge science test that I mentioned in my last post and I am incredibly proud of my mark (although I don't really deserve it since I barely revised for it!). Now I'm excited for this school year to be over so I can start my GCSE'S and drop the subjects that I hate such as dance.
So, recently I've been in the process of having my room redecorated. When it's done I'll do a whole post on it including lots of pictures, but for now my room is literally just a white room with a bed. I'm still getting used to the fact that there is nothing on the walls.. :(
In the spirit of redecorating, me and my best friend ventured into Leeds to look for cute room decorations. Unfortunately she lost me in the Primark, cried and called a customer announcement (well done Honor, you know just how to embarrass me in public).
I obviously wasn't too upset because I found the time to purchase this bag!!!!

(sorry for the terrible pictures, I'm still getting to grips with this blogging stuff)

(That's what this whole post was supposed to be about but I clearly don't know when to shut up).
Usually, I find that Primark bags all look very similar and I never really find one that I like, but when I spotted this I fell in love and picked it up straight away.
The one thing that annoys me about this bag is the black marks all over it, I didn't even notice them in the shop! However, since it was only £8, I guess it doesn't matter that much.
I love the pattern and the gold lock detailing, it's just perfect!

Sorry that my post's aren't the best quality, I'm trying to improve! If anybody has any advice I would appreciate it a lot!

Review: Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax

A couple of months ago, I was in bodycare (if you've ever read my blog before, you'll know how much I love this shop! It sells well known brands of beauty products for extremely cheap prices, and even a few unknown brands that I love to try occasionally) looking for a new hair treatment when I found this on the bottom shelf. I was reading about the benefits of henna on your hair a few months before, so I decided for the small price of 99p and the promise that it wouldn't colour my hair, I would go ahead and try it out. What's the worst that could happen?
Me being me, completely forgot about this product until a few weeks later (I have really bad short term memory, I don't even know why!) when I finally tried it out.
The instructions tell you to shampoo your hair first, then apply the henna and wrap it up in a hot, damp towel for 30 minutes (or if you're in the bath, let the steam from the water activate the treatment).
I just wrapped it up in a normal towel and read for 30 minutes, but obviously it's up to you what you do.
When I washed it out, I noticed that my hair didn't feel soft like a conditioner leaves it feeling, so I applied a small amount of conditioner to the ends and washed it out after 3 minutes.
When my hair dryed, I was amazed at how shiny my hair was, and how soft and thick it felt.
This review isn't very detailed, but I highly recommend trying this product (it's only 99p!) and letting me know how it worked for you!
You may need to use it a few times before you see results, but I'm sure you will!

Things I'm going to start doing.

So it's April 1st! I can't believe how quickly this year is going!
We're four months into the year and sadly, I haven't stuck to most of my new years resolutions.
I decided that I'm going to have some resolutions for April and then on the 1st of May I'll write another blog to see if I've stuck to them.
And, if I haven't failed any, I'll let myself buy a dress that I really want!
I think this is a good idea because it's much easier to stick to something for a month than a whole year, and hopefully by the time the month is over I'll have got used to doing these things and will continue for the rest of the year.
Anyway, let's actually get to the point!
1) Drink more water.
I have an app called iDrate which really helped me to drink the right amount of water throughout january, but for some reason I just stopped. This month I'm going to try again!
2) Stop biting my nails!
Yes, I'm a nail biter and it sucks. It's the worst habit ever, most of the time I don't even realise I'm doing it, and I can't control myself! It's absolutely disgusting and I want to have nice nails, so hopefully I can quit this for a month (and more!!).
3) Eat an apple a day.
I should eat my five a day, but I rarely do. I don't eat much at all throughout the day, some days I just eat toast and that's it, but this is really unhealthy. It's unrealistic that I'm going to start eating my 5 a day, but if I can stick to an apple every day then that should definitely help!
And, i hear it keeps the doctors away ;)
wow I need to get a life.
4) Take an omega 3 pill every day!
I'm a vegetarian and have been for 7 years. This makes me tired as I rarely get any iron/protein in my diet. Recently I bought some fish oil pills, but I always forget to take them! I'm going to try and have one every single day to improve my health.
5) Stop wearing so much makeup.
I suffer from eczema, which if anyone didn't know is a skin condition that makes your skin very dry, sensitive and itchy. I also have dry and sensitive patches of skin on my face which have gotten worse in the cold weather recently. When I wear makeup it dry's out my skin even more and it doesn't look good at all. I'm still going to wear eyemakeup and occasionally blusher or concealer when I need it, but wearing less will hopefully improve my skin and confidence :)

I may add more throughout the month, but for now I only have five :)
if anybody else has any I should consider then I would love to know! And let me know what yours would be!

Thanks for reading!
